“Omo,” Wendy somehow reminded of something. Out of all those things she remembered, she remembered the one that has been given to her as a gift.
“My earphones,” she murmured under her breath.
“Is there anyone at the dorm?” she thought.
“Better yet, maybe I should call Unnie,”
She dialed Irene’s.
“Hello,” someone’s answered
“Hello, Unnie,” Wendy replied.
“Who is this?”
“Ah~ Please say that you’re joking,”
“..I don’t. Who is this,”
She sighed before play it along.
“Hi, I’m Son Seungwan. I came for the report yesterday, that someone missing Wendy and she pretend to not know who’s calling,”
The laugh at the end caught Wendy’s attention. The one on the other line definitely know who’s calling.
“Happy?”
“Much. What do you want Seungwan-ah?” Irene asked as her chuckles doesn’t finish yet.
“Unnie, I wonder if you want to come at house this evening,”
“What for?”
“This is why I’m calling you. I kinda left my earphones–“
“And you’re asking me if I can get your earphones, bring the earphones to your house and as well inviting me to dinner?”
“Ah.. Joohyun Unnie really is the best. So you want to have dinner with me? With my family?”
“Just me?”
“Well, you can invite everyone else too if you want. But I just think of you since you’re always at home,”
“Yah.. Not always you know, I’m socialize with everyone too,”
“Yeah, to me mostly,”
“Waaa.. You really full of yourself aren’t you,”
“Of course. Because I have a member who loves me the most. You,” she laughed. Even she can’t see what Irene did but she swears that Irene is smiling, her cheeks blush while her long sweater cover her mouth.
“But.. Seungwan-ah, the thing is I can’t come today. What about next Sunday? I’m free,”
“Oh okay. Sure Unnie. Make sure bring me my earphones okay. Love you Unnie!”
“You’re not missing me. You’re missing your earphones,” Irene whines.
“That’s not completely true. 1% in there I’m missing…my earphones. Haha!”
“uuuuu… You really are a flirt. You’re playing with my feelings~”
“Unnie, don’t make that voice. Your voice like that melting my fragile heart!”
“Yah! Stop it! Look I have to go. We’ll see you next Sunday okay,”
“Okay Love you Unnie. Bye. Send my regards to Seulgi. SeulRene SubUnit Fighting!”
“Thank you Seungwan-ah, gotta go. bye,”
And finally their conversation had end.
“Ah her favourite dish. Tteubokki,” murmured Wendy.

The next Sunday arrived.
She texted Irene to remind to bring her earphones that morning. She did looking forward to see Irene today. And the mention of Irene’s ‘we’ in the conversation last week assume Wendy that she will bring another person into her house. Seulgi said she had scheduled today three days ago. Yeri has her reality show and Joy somehow recording for the next collab. So possibility the other person is maybe her manager.
It’s 1 PM. Wendy is preparing meals while her mother helping her beside. Her sister came in and look at Wendy. “What are you doing?”
“Irene Unnie will come joining our dinner today,” she smiles brightly.
“What? Red Velvet come into our house today?”
“Only Red Velvet Irene,”
“Or your Bae Joohyun Unnie?”
Wendy look at her older sister with question.
“Are there any differences?” her mother asks her daughters.
“Omma, I’ve been lurking into videos. Bae Joohyun is someone different from Red Velvet Irene,”
“Don’t trust her, Omma. Red Velvet or not, Joohyun unnie is Joohyun Unnie,” Wendy defending.
“So there are no Wendy or Seungwan differences?” asks her sister, teasing.
“No. I am me and you know that,”
“I should say otherwise but the person herself know more,” her mother interrupt. Giggling because she did find differences between Wendy and Seungwan.
“Omma, you believe that?”
Her mother gives a smile. “Like I said the person herself know the most,”
“I’m going to help after the shower. I need to have a break at least 3 hours before dinner. If I didn’t wake up in 3 hours, please call my smartphone,”

“Yeay!! I’m done!” Wendy celebrate with her hands on the air as a victory.
“I’m glad that I told her to bring the earphones. Now she can come to my house,”
“Only because of earphones, you make Joohyun come in over here?” Wendy’s sister just finish her shower.
“Ah. There she is again. Just in time,” Wendy rolling her eyes.
“I’m telling the truth. You shouldn’t let her come here for some earphones,” as she prepare the plates and glasses for today’s dinner.
“Hey it’s a gift. I love it and I can’t live without it,”
“Who is it from?”
“…Joohyun Unnie,”
“You’re so whipped for that girl. She is same age as me but you never treat me like this,”
“You’re different. You are not her,”
“I know I know, I’m just an Unnie. She is your Unnie slash Special Lady,”
“Oh again…Mom~ look at her,”
“Well..She’s really special. You won’t remember this, but that woman always have time to ask if you’re okay,”
“O? When? Why did I hear this now?”
“Joohyun met me, but she doesn’t want to bother you. That medicine took you into the nice slumber,”
“Wha– She didn’t even say anything!” Wendy opens her eyes wide knowing. And suddenly felt guilty when she heard that sentences from her mom.
“Ah.. the incident already went months. She even didn’t want to bring that up,” her mother added.
“Wendy got a crushhhh~her heart want to bursttt. After knowing that she carreee~” her sister teased.
Her mind suddenly went to another dimension. What else the older woman hides from her. Because last time she even doing live for her fans, Irene didn’t say about watching it on other apps until Seulgi mentioned she caught the older girl wearing earphones listening to songs on youtube. What unique about it to Wendy, is when she notices all that playsong Irene listened to were songs she covered in that Live. She wanted to tease Irene at first but that day, she couldn’t. She just sat around and start noticing the smile Irene wore that day.
“Hey.. earth to Wendy. Go get clean. Your Bae gonna be like one and a half hour,”
Wendy woke from her daydream and rolled a bit of her eyes before hug her mom.
“Oh thanks mommy~ Thank u for helping me prepare the food,”
“My daughter brought someone special, of course I need to be helping her gets the boost she needs,”
“What do you mean, mom?”
“Nothing. Just want you to be happy my love,” her mom caress Wendy’s face with love.
“You don’t have to worry. We’re always here for you,”
For the first time she felt her older sister mean it.
“Aww you guys.. I love you guys so much!” as she hugs her women.

Wendy sees Lovely emoji with Irene’s name appear besides. She smiled instantly before take up the calling.
“Unnie! You’ve arrived?”
“Yeah..I brought the earphones…And I bring someone along with me,”
“You did? Ah, lucky that I got the ‘we’ you said on the first time. That’s okay. Food are enough for us,”
“..okay..”
Wendy couldn’t get enough with the switch of Irene’s voice. Sometimes, she would be sounding so cute. At other time her voice can be so sexy. According to her, that is.
“Seungwan,”
Sexy.
“Should I just go to the elavator and press the level your family stayed in?”
Cute.
“..Yeah! Sure! I’m sorry. I just miss your voice I guess. You were so busy with those promotion, like you said. So I just wait to the day I finally have you whole time. And Today is The Day!”
The laugh.
“I’m sounding so excited, am I?”
“You are sound so excited Seungwan. I’m already outside. Care to open the door for me and my sister?”
“Wha–what? Sister? Your younger sister?”

“I have to admit, you are so good for keeping your family from media. This is my first time to meet you face to face, Bae Joori,” Wendy’s sister welcome Irene’s sister.
“Joohyun unnie said it is important meeting so I don’t want her to be disappointed,” she chuckled. Only to get hit by Irene lightly.
“Oh By the way, I love your cover, Wendy. Joohyun Unnie loves your A Star is Born’s cover. She repeat it so many times, that I forgot how exactly the original soundtrack sounds like,”
“Yah! Don’t you hyping her up!”
Wendy’s face blushing lightly.
“You know what? Your sister is lucky. Because she just suggest to the whole world to listen a song named Irene. She thinks of her 24/7,”
“Yah! Why you have to exagerate on that. Unnie, you know my heart truly right? Joori, she’s the most caring person in the group. Of course when you heard the name Irene, you would think of her,”
“Stop bickering in the dine table. We here to celebrate the reunion. My daughter missing her other half sister and Bae Joohyun is missing my daughter. So let’s eat and if you want Joohyun-ah, Joori-ah, we have extra room. Spend the night. Beside, my husband are away for two days, so you don’t have to be worry about,” Mrs. Son suggest.
“How about yes Joohyun Unnie. You don’t have schedule for tomorrow morning,”
“Is it okay for me to spend the night?”
“Sure. Wendy have partner for tonight, so she can spend her time not the kitchen for a day. I pity my mom. Everytime she’s in the kitchen, she gets an idea,”
“Same as Joohyun Unnie when she was in highschool. But not in the kitchen. I share the same room when growing up with her. Until she move to the dorm. I remember that particular day, she got the letter from the company. I am happy that she finally accepted. She went to her bedroom after class, I was watching TV, she opened the front door, quickly run to the bedroom. Next thing I know, she grabbed my right hand and made me run with her to the bedroom. She open the door and she said this to me, ‘Joori-ah, I’m not a good sister for you, but if you want my help, I’ll help you. If you cry, I’m going to wipe that tears. If you scare in the dark, remember this, when you turn off these lights, these stars going to fill you up when I’m not here,’ and you know what? It was so beautifully decorate that everytime I turn off the light, I sleep with the thought of happiness,”
Everyone in the room was in silent.
“I’m lucky that my daughter is in the same group as you Joohyun-ah,”
“Ah thank you for the words Mrs. Son,” as she bows lightly
“Thank you for taking care of me,” Wendy doing half of the bows and manage to crack silent from everyone.
“Oh before I forgot,”
Irene searching in her little pouch. “There you go, your earphones,”
“Ah thank you! I love you Unnie!” she made heart with her arms.
Irene giggling and softly pat her younger sister.
“These days she loves this kind of attention. Wendy, just give them all, okay? Wish you get well soon and made my sister blush all the way,”
“Alright. I will get well soon and give everything for her, for group, and for our fans,” as she applause and pat herself.
“Sometimes she could be embarrasing like this,” said Wendy’s sister in jokingly manners.
“It’s okay. I like it,” Irene replied.

“But promise me, you control it. You tone it down to certain someone. You know what I mean, right?” as her eyes straightly to Wendy.
ooof Sexy.
“I promise to you,” as she sign OK to Irene.
Just like that, Irene smile and happily eat. All along, Wendy making everyone there laugh and sometimes, Joori making statement that makes Wendy softly look at Irene. Wendy’s sister not missing the chance, giving some information about Wendy’s.
